ActivateHub is an events-based social network for community building: Discover events, organizations & people working to impact your community. Use Cases: ActivateHub is currently in Beta in several communities. In Portland and Detroit, sites focus on civic engagement and social change, the Makers Community in Oakland and Climate Change activists across the Pacific Northwest are using the platform to connect online and take actions offline. Our platform is available as a SaaS to other communities (ie - universities, religious groups, coalition groups) seeking to aggregate multiple user groups and calendar platforms into elegant, filterable, & social databases. Technology: The site aggregates calendar feeds from existing organizations, automatically importing and tagging data, parsing the information into dynamic lists of Events, Organizations, Venues, People and Issues.
